Lisbon, Portugal

We won an international landscape design competition in urban sustainability corridor in Lisbon, Portugal.

​The design competition was conceived to address the debate of ideas that promotes reflection on the connecting axes to the city of Lisbon, from the port to the airport, focusing on the South and Southeast Fluvial Station - Praça das Partidas axis at the Humberto Delgado Airport.

Our team highlighted the competition's interest to produce content and inform, promoting public awareness of the defense, preservation, and enhancement of heritage, contribute to the planning of the cities to the future in their contemporary challenges and issues such as biodiversity, health, adaptation to climate change, the promotion of urban-environmental heritage and social inclusion and cohesion.

Our winning entry proposed a series of design moments along the corridor featuring aero park, junctions, rows, roundabouts, urban park, and waterfront park highlighting landscape forms, public environmental arts such as mist sculpture, kinetic field, and rain garden, amphitheater and more. In celebrating urban water and landscape as the basis of the resilient blue green urban economy and social justice, a high performing urban system achieved through carefully constructed interventions such as a hub-and-spoke green infrastructures, connecting renewable energy technologies with modern convenience and necessities, pop up green spaces, and immersive installations.
